YZU College of Engineering Welcomed Liuhe High School Visit, Inspiring Passion for Engineering

On March 7, the College of Engineering at Yuan Ze University (YZU) hosted a visit from 42 senior students from the Natural Sciences track of Liuhe Senior High School in Taoyuan City. The students were led by Guidance Director Ms. Hui-Chun Liao to explore and deepen their understanding of the engineering field.

The itinerary included introductions to the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, as well as lab tours in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The students showed great interest in the campus environment, buildings, and high-tech equipment, actively asking questions and engaging in lively discussions. Professors and senior students warmly responded to their inquiries, guiding them in understanding engineering developments and future trends.

This visit left a positive impression on the Liuhe High School students and teachers, significantly increasing their enthusiasm for engineering studies. Dean Yi-Ming Sun of the College of Engineering expressed his hope for continued collaboration with high schools to further promote engineering education and nurture more talented individuals in the field.
