ZH University life extends far beyond the classroom. Student clubs serve as vital platforms for developing communication, teamwork, leadership, and hands-on problem-solving skills. To welcome new students, Yuan Ze University held its annual Clubs Expo on September 9 and 10, bringing together nearly 50 student organizations at the campus plaza. Covering a wide range of interests, including music, dance, sports, board games, photography, service learning, community engagement, and professional development, the clubs employed creative recruitment strategies through interactive booths, experiential activities, and live performances. The event enabled freshmen to explore new interests while experiencing the diverse, self-directed, and dynamic culture of student organizations at the university.
YZU Club
Yuan Ze University held the “2025 Student Governance Gala Night and Student Club Awards and Inauguration Ceremony” on the evening of June 17. President Ching-Jung Liao, along with faculty members, gathered with student governance organizations and student club leaders to witness the passing down of the spirit of student governance and the achievements in student club development.
With support from the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Sprout Project, the Happy Learning Camp at Yuan Ze University held a “Team Launch Project Planning Workshop.” The workshop invited instructor Chao-Wei Lin to guide participants in learning core project planning methods starting from service needs. Through conceptual instruction and hands-on practice, the workshop helped students transform ideas into concrete and feasible action plans, enhancing teamwork and execution efficiency.
Ahead of Mother’s Day, the Life Counseling Section, Office of Student Affairs, Yuan Ze University, joined hands with the service-oriented student club “Life Vanguard” to visit the Pingzhen Kangfu Intellectual Development Center and Zhongzheng Village, hosting the “Heart to Heart with Love: Mother’s Day Appreciation Event.”
Good news was announced from the 2026 National Student Club Evaluation and Showcase (Academic Year 115), organized by the Ministry of Education. The event attracted 225 student clubs from 116 universities and colleges nationwide.
With support from the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Sprout Project, Yuan Ze University promoted the Happy Learning Camp initiative, in which students independently planned and carried out diverse service activities. Ranging from academic tutoring to community outreach, the program continuously responded to the needs of different groups through concrete action. Recently, student teams visited a homeless service station, rural tutoring sites, and a long-term care center. Through hands-on experiences in different settings, students gained a deeper understanding of the value of service and witnessed the changes and meaning brought about by companionship.
A student team from the International Bachelor’s Program in English (IBSC), College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Yuan Ze University, won the National Best Featured Student Club Activity Award, placing among the top ten nationwide, with its cross-cultural service project “We Are The World.” Guided by the Extracurricular Activities Section, the team stood out among numerous university student organizations across Taiwan.
