The Yuan Ze University research teams achieved outstanding results at the 2025 Taiwan Innotech Expo, earning a total of one Platinum Award, two Gold Medals, and one Silver Medal from six patented technologies exhibited this year, demonstrating the university’s exceptional innovation capacity.

Yuan Ze University held the inauguration ceremony of the College of Medicine and Nursing on October 2, 2025, symbolizing a significant step forward in the university’s development of smart healthcare education.
Yuan Ze University’s “Freshman Voyage” orientation was held from September 1 to 5, featuring a five-day program filled with ceremonies, health checks, a club carnival, and an English immersive challenge. The activities warmly welcomed around 3,000 new students to the Yuan Ze family and helped them transition smoothly into university life.
The College of Electrical and Communication Engineering at Yuan Ze University once again showcased its strength on the international AI stage. Following last year’s championship in a Google global competition, this year a research team led by Distinguished Professor Tun-Yu Chen, Dean of the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering, together with faculty members Yong-Che Lu and Sheng-Kai Ku from the Department of Electrical Engineering, achieved outstanding results at the globally recognized machine learning challenge “NeurIPS – Open Polymer Prediction 2025,” winning a gold medal.
In the 2025 academic year, Yuan Ze University (YZU) delivered outstanding enrollment results. In April, the University achieved full enrollment through the Stars Program, while its individual application admission rate reached as high as 97.58%, ranking first among comprehensive universities in Taiwan.
Yuan Ze University had long regarded sustainability and environmental governance as a core part of its development. Following its recognition with the 6th National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award – Bronze Award last year, the university once again received the 7th National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award – Bronze Award this year.
Yuan Ze University Signed MOU with U.S. Top University to Promote Dual Degrees and Exchange Programs
On July 30, Yuan Ze University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in the United States. The agreement was signed by Ching-Jung Liao, President of Yuan Ze University, and Raj Echambadi, President of IIT, marking the beginning of a long-term and stable partnership between the two institutions. The collaboration aimed to promote international academic exchange, transnational research cooperation, and global talent development.
