As generative AI rapidly reshaped the workplace, “basic AI judgment literacy” had become an indispensable core competency across all industries. On January 13, 2026, during a university-wide leadership consensus camp, Yuan Ze University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Taiwan AI Academy (AIA), announcing the joint establishment of the “AIA Talent Certification (AIATC™) Taoyuan–Hsinchu–Miaoli Regional Certification Center.”
Yuan Ze University stood out in the 2025 Taiwan Sustainable University Awards, receiving two major honors—Taiwan Sustainable Model University and the Gold Award for its sustainability report. The university became one of the few institutions in Taiwan to demonstrate leadership across sustainability governance, technological applications, and international visibility.
Yuan Ze University once again demonstrated outstanding achievements in the 114 Academic Year Bilingual Learning Program for College Students (EMI Program), standing out in the highly competitive national selection process and showcasing the university’s strong commitment to bilingual education and internationalization.
Yuan Ze University valued parents’ voices, and its annual key event, Family Visit Day, was warmly held on November 15, attracting nearly 300 parents. The event centered on two major themes—Department Tour and A Conversation with the President & Q&A Session—allowing parents to gain deeper insights into the university’s educational philosophy, curriculum features, and campus environment, while also serving as an important platform for the university to collect feedback and refine administrative practices.
A cross-disciplinary research and development team led by I-Ming Sun, Professor and Dean of the College of Engineering at Yuan Ze University, collaborated with Hsueh-Chia Chang, Endowed Chair Professor and Yushan Scholar at the University of Notre Dame, to jointly develop an innovative thin-film biosensing technology.
The British higher education evaluation institution Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) held the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia 2025 in Seoul, South Korea, from November 4 to 6, 2025. During the event, QS announced the results of the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026 and presented awards to recognize outstanding higher education institutions.
