In response to the increasingly competitive landscape of global higher education, Yuan Ze University actively promoted its educational vision, "Study Abroad in Taiwan; Leap Forward to the World," through a systematic platform known as the International Academy. The university aimed to cultivate young talents with a global vision and practical competitiveness.
Professor Jin-Fu Chen, Dean of the International Academy, explained that the Academy integrated resources from five colleges: the College of Management, the College of Informatics, the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering, the College of Engineering, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. These colleges offered English-taught bachelor programs (EMI) and emphasized interdisciplinary integration and international exchange opportunities, creating a learning environment that fostered “global mobility and innovative potential.”
Students not only acquired professional knowledge but also developed cross-cultural communication and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects, international competitions, and overseas exchange programs. Since its establishment in 2022, the International Academy has successfully supported many graduates in gaining admission to top 100 global universities for graduate studies and entering popular fields such as AI, business analytics, and educational technology—demonstrating the outcomes of Yuan Ze’s internationalized education.
One example was Hong-Yuan Zhang, who started from scratch and gradually built strong financial expertise through Yuan Ze’s English learning environment and international exchange experiences. He was admitted to the MSc in Advanced Financial Analysis at Lancaster University in the UK. After graduation, he entered the corporate finance sector. He worked as an international account manager, exemplifying how local students could leverage International Academy resources to elevate their careers and pursue global development.
Another case was Yun-Ying Hung, a graduate of the International Bachelor Program in Strategic Communication, College of Humanities and Social Sciences. With training in strategic communication and cross-cultural competencies, as well as the program's flexible course selection, she was successfully admitted to the University of Edinburgh for a Master’s in Marketing. Her academic journey highlighted how the International Academy helped students grow comprehensively in language proficiency, logical thinking, and global perspective.
Additionally, Kwee-Fang Lee from Indonesia, a student in the English Bachelor of Business Administration Program, College of Management, actively participated in the Global Student Association, MIT camps, and various project challenges. After graduation, she was admitted to the Master's Program in Data Science at National Tsing Hua University and later worked as a digital marketing specialist at the Taiwanese startup platform Frontier. cool, exemplifying the path of “studying and working in Taiwan.”
Yuan Ze’s achievements in international education also gained recognition in global rankings. According to the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, Yuan Ze ranked in the 301–400 range worldwide. In the 2024 THE Young University Rankings, the university was placed 310th globally and 7th in Taiwan, reflecting its educational strength and sustainable impact.
Professor Jin-Fu Chen emphasized that the International Academy not only prepared students for further study at prestigious overseas universities but also equipped them with the ability to engage in global dialogue. Whether it was international students coming to Taiwan to study and work, or local students pursuing dreams abroad, Yuan Ze University strived to help every student take off from Yuan Ze and connect with the world.
