Yuan Ze University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) integrated the concept of metaliteracy and incorporated AI into language learning, art design, and cultural studies. Through multiple innovative courses, the college enhanced students’ digital application skills and ethical awareness.

Professor Chen Tun-Yu, Dean of the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering at Yuan Ze University, led the YZU MISLab team in collaboration with Dr. Kuo Kuan-Hung, Director of Radiology at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, to develop an AI-assisted acute appendicitis diagnostic system. This innovative system earned the "Smart Healthcare and Health Technology Academic Innovation Award" at the 21st National Innovation Awards.
