The Yuan Ze University Student Association stood out among numerous participating institutions at the "2025 National Student Association Achievement Exhibition" and was honored with the highest distinction—the Excellence Award.
This prestigious recognition showcased the Association’s institutionalized operations, professional governance, and proactive engagement, highlighting the outstanding performance of Yuan Ze’s student self-governance organization.
The exhibition centered on evaluating the soundness of student association systems and their governance capabilities, with four core missions: Student Rights, Election System, Annual Planning and Financial System, and Regulations and Organizational Operations. Yuan Ze’s Student Association demonstrated exceptional self-discipline and integration skills, thoroughly presenting its annual achievements and documentation. Furthermore, the team proposed enhancements to existing systems and outlined future development plans, reflecting maturity and progress in both internal governance and external communication. The successful completion of all four missions earned high praise from the judges, ultimately leading to the Excellence Award.
Former Student Association President Liu Tzu-Yang and current President Lee Po-Lin expressed great excitement over the recognition. They stated that the honor was not only a result of collective effort but also a testament to the ongoing legacy and deepening of the student self-governance system. They emphasized the significance of witnessing and carrying forward the spirit and values of Yuan Ze’s Student Association, and felt gratified by the judges’ affirmation in all four institutional aspects. They remarked that promoting student participation was never achieved overnight but required the dedication and perseverance of successive generations. They hoped that the value of student engagement would continue to take root and thrive on campus, becoming a key part of Yuan Ze’s culture.
Professor Lin Hsiu-Chu, advisor to the Student Association, noted that student associations serve as vital platforms for cultivating public participation and governance skills. She remarked that receiving the Excellence Award strongly affirmed the students’ initiative, system planning, and policy advocacy. She encouraged the association to maintain its sensitivity to emerging issues and its institutional resilience, continuing to serve as a stable bridge between the student body and the university administration.
Dean of Student Affairs, Liu Yu-Chih, expressed his pride in seeing the student leaders demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and public spirit, which had a lasting impact on the campus atmosphere and student development. He reaffirmed the university’s continued support for the growth of student self-governance organizations, aiming to build a democratic, open, and forward-looking campus environment in collaboration with the students.
