Yuan Ze University’s EMBA Program held its Class of 2024 graduation ceremony on June 27. The year marked both the 37th anniversary of Yuan Ze University and the 30th anniversary of the EMBA Program. A total of 68 graduates from the EMBA Program and the Vietnam Executive Master of Business Administration (VNEMBA) Overseas Master’s Program for Working Professionals completed their studies. Nearly 150 faculty members, graduates, family members, and alumni representatives attended the ceremony to witness this significant milestone.
One of the highlights of this year’s ceremony was that 11 graduates from the Vietnam program, accompanied by 11 family members, traveled to Taiwan specifically to participate in the graduation ceremony. Their presence demonstrated the strong cohesion of the Yuan Ze EMBA international learning community and added a distinctive international dimension to the event.
During her remarks, Chiu-Ling Lu, Vice President of Yuan Ze University and Professor of the Finance Division, College of Management, stated that EMBA students had balanced their careers, family responsibilities, and academic studies simultaneously. Every graduate had achieved their learning goals through perseverance and exemplified the spirit of lifelong learning. She also shared that Yuan Ze University had achieved outstanding results in teaching, research, internationalization, and sustainable development in recent years. Undergraduate enrollment for Academic Year 2025 reached full capacity, with a registration rate of 103.13 percent. The University was ranked 176th in Asia in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings and was placed within the 101–200 band globally in the THE Impact Rankings, demonstrating the University’s educational excellence.
In response to the rapid development of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, Chiu-Ling Lu encouraged graduates to maintain an open mindset and a commitment to lifelong learning, continuously improve themselves, embrace future challenges with innovative thinking, and contribute their knowledge and expertise to society.
Huai-Chun Luo, Executive Director of the EMBA Program, noted that while EMBA students served as business executives during the day, they devoted themselves to academic studies in the evenings. Over the course of two years, they had gained not only knowledge but also developed lasting friendships. He emphasized that although AI could assist with data analysis, it could not replace trust and friendship between people, which remained the most valuable aspect of the EMBA experience.
Huai-Chun Luo also introduced the EMBA Program’s distinctive “Lifetime Course Warranty” policy, under which alumni could return to audit new courses free of charge in accordance with University regulations, enabling them to continuously update their professional knowledge. In addition, the College of Management offered a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, providing senior executives with further opportunities for advanced study.
On behalf of the graduates, Ping-Shun Huang stated that classmates had come from a wide range of industries and had completed courses, presentations, and various activities together over the past two years. Through these experiences, they had evolved from classmates into important lifelong partners. Ying-Ying Liu delivered remarks on behalf of the Vietnam Executive Master of Business Administration Overseas Master’s Program for Working Professionals, expressing gratitude to the faculty members whose guidance and support had helped students develop both a global perspective and management capabilities.
During the ceremony, Gold Medals, Silver Medals, Academic Excellence Awards, Advancement Awards, and Outstanding Service Awards were presented. The award-winning team “Origin Think Tank,” champion of the Second SinoPac Cup Case Competition, was also recognized. Subsequently, 11 professors conducted the tassel-turning ceremony for the graduates, symbolizing the completion of their studies and the beginning of a new stage in life. Representatives from the Yuan Ze University Alumni Association, the EMBA Association, and the Taoyuan Yuan Ze EMBA Alumni Association also attended to offer their congratulations and witness this meaningful moment of legacy and continuity.
The Yuan Ze University EMBA Program stated that it would continue integrating interdisciplinary curricula, industry-academia collaboration, alumni networks, and lifelong learning mechanisms to cultivate leaders equipped with professional expertise, global perspectives, and a strong sense of social responsibility. The program would also continue supporting alumni throughout their professional journeys and helping them create a greater positive impact on society.
