Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led a seven-member delegation to visit Yuan Ze University on July 30 and participated in a series of exchange activities. The visit not only focused on the summer internship achievements of KMUTT students at Yuan Ze University but also facilitated in-depth discussions on student exchange programs, dual degree programs, faculty exchange, and research collaboration, further strengthening the partnership between the two institutions.
Ching-Jong Liao, President of Yuan Ze University, welcomed the delegation together with university administrators and participated in a discussion session with the guests. Both parties exchanged views on international talent cultivation, academic cooperation, and future collaborative initiatives, demonstrating the solid foundation of their long-standing partnership and their shared commitment to deepening institutional exchanges.
The Internship Results Presentation held in the afternoon was chaired by Dean Yi-Ming Sun of the College of Engineering. Faculty members and students from Yuan Ze University, together with the KMUTT delegation, listened to participating students present their research outcomes and learning experiences gained during their internships at Yuan Ze University. The students introduced the research projects in which they had participated and shared insights gained through cross-cultural learning and laboratory research, demonstrating the professional competencies and global perspectives developed through international internships.
During the summer, a total of 13 KMUTT students completed internships at Yuan Ze University. They joined research projects in the College of Engineering, the College of Electrical and Communication Engineering, and the College of Informatics. Through laboratory research and project-based learning, the students strengthened their professional knowledge while enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills.
Notably, three of the 13 internship students had already confirmed that they would pursue dual degree programs at Yuan Ze University in the 2026 academic year. This milestone demonstrated that the partnership had expanded beyond short-term internships to include degree education, reflecting tangible outcomes of international cooperation and establishing a closer framework for future talent development between the two universities.
Yuan Ze University stated that it had maintained a close cooperative relationship with KMUTT for many years. Through diverse collaborative initiatives, including student internships, faculty exchanges, academic research, and dual degree programs, both institutions had continuously promoted internationalization. The visit by the KMUTT president and delegation not only showcased the learning achievements of KMUTT students at Yuan Ze University but also further consolidated the partnership between the two universities, laying a stronger foundation for future cooperation in international talent cultivation, academic research, and dual degree programs.
