The Huaxiang Yuanmeng International Volunteer Team of Yuan Ze University traveled to Taiping, Perak, Malaysia, during the summer break and carried out a two-week international volunteer service program. For the third consecutive year, the team collaborated with Hua Lian High School, visited Taiping Peace Children’s Home for the second year, and expanded its service locations for the first time to Sin Min Primary School. Through courses in information technology, sustainable development, and cultural exchange, the volunteers deepened educational exchanges and youth engagement between Taiwan and Malaysia.

Yuan Ze University’s international volunteer team, together with ASUS volunteers, formed a group of 12 young volunteers who carried out an 18-day educational service program at Doi Tung Maesadadet School in northern Thailand from June 28 to July 15, under the leadership of Hsiu-Chu Lin. For nearly 20 years, Yuan Ze University has continuously devoted itself to educational services in northern Thailand, supporting the growth of children in rural areas through companionship.
In addition to providing educational services at Doi Tung Maesadadet School in northern Thailand, Yuan Ze University’s international volunteer team also visited Guang Ming Elementary School and Han Guang Elementary School, where educational resources and teaching staff were even more limited. Through reading education, language learning, creative activities, and follow-up visits to school libraries, the team brought both educational resources and companionship into remote mountainous areas, continuing to fulfill Yuan Ze University’s nearly 20-year educational mission in northern Thailand.
Organized by the International Language and Culture Center (ILCC) of Yuan Ze University in collaboration with the Department of Chinese Linguistics and Literature, the “Mandarin Learning Tutoring Time” program officially launched on November 3 and unexpectedly sparked a wave of enthusiasm across campus. Originally designed as Mandarin tutoring support for international students, the program ultimately attracted 51 participants from 16 countries across four continents.
