The 18th Northern EMBA Badminton Friendship Tournament Successfully Concluded

The 18th Northern EMBA Badminton Friendship Tournament, organized by Yuan Ze University’s EMBA Badminton Club and Alumni Association, took place on March 23 at the Daxi Elementary School Sports Center with great enthusiasm. 

This year’s tournament reached an unprecedented scale, attracting EMBA badminton clubs from 14 universities, including National Sun Yat-sen University, National Central University, Yuan Ze University, National Taipei University, National Taipei University of Technology, National Taiwan University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taiwan Normal University, Soochow University, Chang Gung University, National Chengchi University, Tamkang University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and National Tsing Hua University.

The tournament featured 35 teams and nearly 600 participants, divided into competitive and recreational divisions based on skill levels, ensuring fair competition while allowing players to fully enjoy the game. The Yuan Ze University EMBA Alumni Association stated that the event was not just a sports competition but also an important platform for inter-university collaboration and learning. Through competition and teamwork, participants not only honed their badminton skills but also exchanged experiences and built lasting friendships, embodying the spirit of the EMBA community.

Luo Huai-Jun, the Executive Director of Yuan Ze University’s EMBA program, emphasized that on the badminton court, participants were determined opponents, but in the workplace, they could be valuable partners. He highlighted that the tournament allowed students from different universities to find common ground, inspire each other, and grow together by integrating sports with learning, paving the way for broader career development.

Many participants expressed that the event not only improved their badminton skills but also provided an opportunity to establish new friendships through sports. They appreciated Yuan Ze University’s thoughtful organization and warm hospitality and hoped for more inter-university exchange events in the future, fostering both academic and professional growth.

The Yuan Ze University EMBA Alumni Association noted that the success of this year’s tournament showcased the enthusiasm and unity of Northern EMBA students, opening the door to more collaborative opportunities. Moving forward, they aim to continue promoting such exchange activities to strengthen connections and facilitate the growth of the Northern EMBA community.
