Yuan Ze University’s 2025 Spring Career Fair Attracts 4,000 Students as Companies Compete for Talent

Yuan Ze University’s 2025 Spring Campus Recruitment Fair was held on March 27, bringing together renowned companies such as ASE Semiconductor, Zhen Ding Technology, MSI, and Yuanta Securities. The event provided graduating students and job seekers with various employment opportunities. 

Director Lai Chia-Jen of the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, attended the event in person and, together with ASE Semiconductor, MSI, Vanguard International Semiconductor, and Yuan Ze University President Liao Ching-Jung, signed the "Workplace Well-being Commitment," symbolizing the collaboration between industry, government, and academia to create a friendly employment environment and help companies recruit outstanding talent.

This series of recruitment events commenced on March 12, attracting participation from over 60 companies, including industry giants such as TSMC, Supermicro, Evergreen Marine, ASE Semiconductor, Far Eastern New Century, and Zhen Ding Technology. More than 4,500 job openings were offered, drawing over 4,000 enthusiastic students eager to experience the competitive job market firsthand.

TSMC kicked off the series with a corporate briefing session on March 12, attracting more than 200 faculty members and students. Similarly, Supermicro’s session on March 14 and Evergreen Marine’s session on March 21 were both packed, reflecting the students’ keen interest in industry trends.

At the career fair on March 27, many students actively engaged with HR representatives, gaining insights into industry developments and job requirements. Some students even received interview invitations before the event concluded, marking a crucial step in their career journeys.

Yuan Ze University President Liao Ching-Jung stated that this year’s recruitment event centered around the themes of "interdisciplinary skills, sustainability, and digital competency," emphasizing students’ competitive advantages in the digital transformation era. He expressed hope that companies would offer more development opportunities and collaborate with the university in cultivating future industry leaders. Director Lai Chia-Jen from the Ministry of Labor commended Yuan Ze University’s educational achievements, highlighting that its graduates were highly sought after by companies and acknowledging the school’s proactive efforts in industry-academia collaboration.

Yang Chen-Yi, Recruitment Manager at ASE Semiconductor, and Chen Po-Yen, Senior Manager at MSI, both praised Yuan Ze University students for their strong academic and practical abilities. They noted that YZU students not only possessed solid expertise but also demonstrated excellent communication and teamwork skills, expressing eagerness for future collaborations.

Xie, a graduate student in the Master of Department of Electrical Engineering, shared that the career fair deepened his understanding of industry trends in smart grids, embedded systems, and semiconductor technology, boosting his confidence in entering the workforce. He aspired to join TSMC in the future. Meanwhile, Le, a business student from Vietnam, mentioned that through discussions with various companies, he better understood the job market and employment opportunities for international students in Taiwan.

In addition to company recruitment, the university meticulously arranged a series of career lectures, including "International Career Stories" and "Enhancing Fresh Graduates’ Employability." Resume writing and interview skills workshops were also provided to help students prepare thoroughly for their job searches. Through diverse activities and resources, Yuan Ze University continues to support students in expanding their career perspectives, enhancing their competitiveness, and laying a solid foundation for their future development.
