The Aboriginal Art Touring Exhibition comes to campus. Yuan Ze University presents the "Gurgling Island" special exhibition.

Co-organized by Yuan Ze University Art Center and the Art Equality Association, the traveling exhibition "Gurgling Island - Native Place, Strange Scenery, and Change" of the Shunyi National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts' "Mobile White Box Project" will be on display from now until May 23 at the front corridor of the Art Center on the first floor of Yuan Ze University's third museum. The public is invited to visit and experience the profound charm and contemporary significance of Taiwan's aboriginal art.

This exhibition features 22 Aboriginal-themed paintings from the Shun-Yi National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, including works by important senior painters in Taiwan’s art history, such as Li Shiqiao, and contemporary Aboriginal artists such as Idan Pavavalon. The works are diverse in style, ranging from realism to abstraction, covering traditional and contemporary vocabulary, presenting the rich cultural characteristics, festival rituals and daily life scenes of ethnic groups such as Rukai, Paiwan, Thao, Yami and Atayal.

The exhibition theme "Gurgling Island - Native Place, Strange Scenery, and Change" takes characters as the main creative axis, integrating the perspectives of indigenous people and Han people, interpreting the cultural identity and historical changes among ethnic groups, and showing the emotional and cultural textures of the interweaving and coexistence of Taiwan's diverse ethnic groups. Through the artist's brushstrokes, viewers are able to glimpse the memories of their hometowns, the imagination of exotic landscapes, and the flow of culture, deepening their understanding of Taiwan's historical context and ethnic culture.

Lin Chuqing, director of the Yuan Ze University Art Center, said that the "Mobile White Box Project" is a mobile art gallery project promoted by the Shun Yi National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, which is committed to bringing art resources into campuses and communities and practicing the concepts of artistic equality and cultural sharing. This exhibition is not only a visual feast, but also a cultural dialogue, hoping to inspire the younger generation to understand and pay attention to Aboriginal art, and feel the connection between art and culture in daily life.
