In the 2025 academic year, Yuan Ze University (YZU) delivered outstanding enrollment results. In April, the University achieved full enrollment through the Stars Program, while its individual application admission rate reached as high as 97.58%, ranking first among comprehensive universities in Taiwan.
In the latest distribution admission, YZU once again filled all available spots, demonstrating its remarkable educational strength and distinctive academic characteristics, which were highly recognized by both students and parents. Despite the challenges of declining birthrates, YZU continued to maintain strong momentum in student recruitment, securing its place as a top-choice private comprehensive university.
President Ching-Jung Liao noted that this year’s success was attributed to the University’s three core strategies: AI + Internationalization + Innovation and Research. Over the years, YZU has continuously invested in artificial intelligence, quantum technology, and cross-disciplinary applications, while promoting internationalized education, enabling students to engage with the latest global knowledge and industry trends during their studies.
According to the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings, YZU ranked in the global 301–400 range. In specific indicators, it excelled in SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, ranking 26th worldwide and first in Taiwan, and in SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, ranking 35th globally, the highest among comprehensive universities in Taiwan. In addition, YZU was placed in the 201–250 range in the 2025 THE Asia University Rankings, underscoring its strong international competitiveness.
YZU also pioneered the “Three Clouds Strategy” by collaborating with Microsoft, Google, and Amazon—the world’s top three cloud service providers—bringing international cloud resources into its curriculum. The University strengthened students’ IT skills and collectively earned 644 professional cloud certifications. By joining the Ministry of Education’s TAICA AI Alliance, YZU launched AI and quantum technology course clusters, as well as a TSMC Program, cultivating talents equipped with cross-disciplinary integration and industry-ready capabilities.
The University built global partnerships with over 300 sister schools across more than 40 countries, creating diverse overseas exchange opportunities. Through the Ministry of Education’s EMI Bilingual Program, YZU implemented the “1,000 Students Abroad Initiative,” offering over 300 overseas study opportunities annually. These efforts earned YZU the Ministry of Education’s 2024 Domain Benchmark Award under the Bilingual Program. The International College also fully promoted English-medium instruction to prepare graduates for further studies at top 100 universities worldwide.
President Ching-Jung Liao emphasized that full enrollment in distribution admission was not only an impressive achievement in numbers but also strong evidence of YZU’s excellence in AI education, international collaboration, and research capabilities. Looking ahead, YZU planned to continue leveraging AI technology and internationalization as dual engines to cultivate cross-disciplinary talents with global competitiveness and innovative abilities, advancing further onto the international stage.
