The Public Affairs and Alumni Service Center of Yuan Ze University held a recognition ceremony for donations during the expanded administrative meeting on May 20. Kun-Nan Wei, Chairperson of the Yuan Ze University Alumni Association, generously donated NT$1 million to serve as a development fund for the College of Management. This act demonstrated his strong support for his alma mater’s development and talent cultivation, exemplifying the enduring spirit of alumni giving back and passing on their legacy.
Yuan Ze University stated that Chairperson Kun-Nan Wei had long been concerned about the development of his alma mater. This donation not only reflected alumni’s strong identification with and support for the university but also highlighted the cohesion of the alumni association and its culture of giving back. The College of Management would continue to make effective use of resources from various sectors to advance its development and cultivate more management professionals with global perspectives and practical capabilities.
In his remarks, Kun-Nan Wei noted that Yuan Ze University had made continuous progress in international rankings in recent years, and that both its hardware and software infrastructure had steadily improved. The university's overall educational achievements were evident. He pointed out that during his tenure as Chairperson of the Alumni Association, he had frequently listened to the university president’s vision for future development, which made him deeply appreciate the institution’s steady progress and filled him with pride as a member of Yuan Ze University.
Kun-Nan Wei further stated that the College of Management had always been like a family, combining academic rigor with a warm and supportive atmosphere. After Dean Min-Ping Huang assumed office, the college demonstrated renewed vitality and energy. With a spirit of gratitude, he hoped to give back to his alma mater through his modest contribution and to help the college continue pursuing excellence by carrying forward this legacy.
He also expressed his hope that the fund would become an important source of support for students, providing better learning resources and enabling them to develop steadily in both academic and practical fields while expanding their global perspectives.
Finally, Kun-Nan Wei thanked the university and faculty members for their recognition and extended his best wishes for Yuan Ze University’s continued success, steady growth, and further achievements for the College of Management.
