Private University Pride! Yuan Ze University’s Jimmy Lin Wins the Prestigious “National Chair Professorship” — The Only Private University Scholar Selected in the Past Decade

The Ministry of Education announced the winners of the 29th National Chair Professorship, and Professor Jimmy Lin from Yuan Ze University’s Department of Electrical Engineering stood out with his outstanding research achievements, earning this honor, which is often regarded as the highest academic distinction in Taiwan.

His selection marked a major milestone for private universities, as Professor Lin was not only the only recipient from a private university this year but also the first in the past ten years, making his recognition especially significant.

Professor Lin had long dedicated himself to research in artificial intelligence and electrical engineering, producing abundant results. He published numerous internationally influential papers and led multiple interdisciplinary projects.
