Yuan Ze University promoted the “Global Smart Applications Campus” initiative, advancing AI technology across six application domains: teaching transformation, campus administration, international mobility, student innovation, industry collaboration, and sustainable governance.
Since 2023, the university has gradually completed the optimization of AI course modules, the establishment of a generative AI teaching platform, and the development of smart diagnostic technologies. It created a comprehensive demonstration site integrating AI with sustainable governance values. By then, more than 30% of professional courses on campus had already incorporated AI applications, moving the university toward becoming an innovative institution with global competitiveness.
Yuan Ze University noted that it had been ahead of the curve since the early rise of the AI wave, proactively building interdisciplinary programs centered on AI applications. It had also established teaching laboratories integrating generative AI, designing workplace-simulation learning games, and interactive platforms to enhance students’ integrated capabilities in AI-based visual creativity, data-driven thinking, and innovative marketing.
In terms of campus governance, the university had completed an AI-powered administrative support platform and smart energy management system, as well as AI smart classrooms and innovation laboratories. Through generative AI, it improved administrative efficiency and decision-making quality. Its energy monitoring platform, combined with AI predictive models, was used to track electricity consumption and carbon emissions, supporting sustainable campus decisions. AI tools were also applied in academic and administrative processes, such as teaching affairs and general services, to enhance internal operational efficiency.
To address global workforce needs, the university continued expanding English-taught courses and introduced AI application modules in strategic communication and design. It connected international resources to promote AI and sustainability-focused transnational programs, research internships, and international camps, which enhanced the AI literacy of international students. In collaboration with several cloud technology companies, the university has established cloud certification centers that meet international standards, enhancing both course content and the convenience of obtaining professional certifications.
In addition, Yuan Ze University has collaborated with numerous domestic and international technology companies to build AI application testbeds. By integrating AI into medicine, a breakthrough AI-assisted acute appendicitis diagnostic system was developed, showcasing advancements in smart healthcare. Looking forward, the university plans to continue promoting corporate-based programs and AI hands-on courses, bridging industry practices with student learning pathways and strengthening its collaborative value within the industrial ecosystem.
