The Department of Nursing at Yuan Ze University recently participated in the New Taipei City International Education Expo, hosting an exhibition booth under the theme “Connecting with Leading Healthcare × Empowering Future Nursing Competence.” The booth showcased an innovative teaching model that integrated clinical practice, smart technologies, and interdisciplinary learning. It attracted large numbers of students, parents, and educators, becoming one of the highlights of the expo.
The university noted that the department adopted a dual-track cultivation approach centered on the integration of clinical practice and technological applications. This model emphasized equipping students with solid nursing expertise and interdisciplinary integration capabilities before graduation. In response to the rapid development of smart healthcare and health technologies, graduates were well-positioned to pursue careers in international healthcare, digital health, and diversified care fields, thereby enhancing their career competitiveness.
In terms of clinical training, the Department of Nursing at Yuan Ze University has established a comprehensive internship system and collaborated with multiple medical institutions, including Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, National Taiwan University Hospital, Taoyuan Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Landseed International Hospital, and Hsinchu Mackay Memorial Hospital. These partnerships provided students with cross-level and multi-specialty learning environments, enabling them to connect with real clinical settings during their studies.
In addition, the department integrated academic resources from the university’s colleges of engineering, informatics, management, and humanities and social sciences to promote interdisciplinary courses and collaborative learning. Through a diversified learning framework, students developed competencies in technological application and system integration, transforming from traditional nursing roles into future-oriented smart nursing professionals aligned with emerging healthcare trends.
In terms of curriculum design, the program incorporated artificial intelligence and digital technologies, combining programming skills with clinical applications to strengthen students’ digital capabilities. The university emphasized that future nursing professionals would need not only strong clinical care skills but also the ability to develop more precise and personalized healthcare models tailored to patient needs.
The Department of Nursing at Yuan Ze University stated that it would continue to deepen industry–academia collaboration and teaching innovation, cultivating nursing professionals who integrate professional expertise, humanistic care, and technological literacy to respond to changes in the healthcare environment and evolving societal needs.
