Yuan Ze University Career Fair Offered Over 3,000 Job Openings

To meet the surge in job-seeking demand during the graduation season, Yuan Ze University held the “Well-Prepared” Campus Career Fair on April 8. Integrating corporate briefings with on-site recruitment resources, the event attracted 76 companies and organizations, offering more than 3,000 job openings across high-demand sectors such as semiconductors, technology, green energy, and financial services, highlighting the continued rise in corporate demand for new graduates.

The opening ceremony began with a performance by the university’s MV Dance Club. Distinguished guests included Shen-Han Hung, Minister of Labor; Chia-Jen Lai, Director of the Taoyuan–Hsinchu–Miaoli Branch of the Ministry of Labor; Ching-Jung Liao, President of Yuan Ze University; and Chiu-Ling Lu, Vice President of Yuan Ze University, along with representatives from government, academia, and industry. The event was officially launched through the “Career Dream Puzzle” activation ceremony, symbolizing the joint efforts of government, universities, and enterprises to build a platform for talent cultivation and employment matchmaking.

Shen-Han Hung stated that the Ministry of Labor had actively promoted industry–academia collaboration in recent years and, together with Yuan Ze University, established the ESG Sustainability and Green Energy Technology Talent Development Base to cultivate green-collar professionals. He noted that as industries in Taoyuan continued to grow, a large number of job opportunities were being released across various sectors, providing favorable employment prospects for young people. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s unemployment rate had declined year by year, reflecting the gradual effectiveness of education and vocational training policies. The ministry would continue to promote campus recruitment initiatives to help young people not only “find jobs,” but also “find good jobs.”

Ching-Jung Liao pointed out that the career fair covered industries including semiconductors, information and communications technology, manufacturing, green energy, and services, demonstrating the high level of recognition enterprises placed on Yuan Ze University graduates. In addition, 30 companies offered more than 400 job opportunities for international students seeking employment in Taiwan, indicating that the university’s achievements in cultivating international talent had gained strong industry recognition. He also encouraged students to seize the opportunity to actively engage with enterprises and emphasized the importance of developing artificial intelligence (AI) competencies to enhance workplace competitiveness.

A human resources manager from Walsin Technology Corporation remarked that Yuan Ze University enjoyed a strong reputation in industry, with many core corporate talents being alumni of the university. As the AI industry continued to develop rapidly, this period was seen as a critical time for new graduates to enter the workforce. Through campus recruitment platforms, students were better able to clarify their career directions.

From the student perspective, Han-Tsung Hsiao, President of the Yuan Ze University Graduation Committee, noted that contemporary graduates had grown up in an environment shaped by rapid AI development. Equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge and critical thinking skills, they were well positioned to respond flexibly to emerging technological challenges. He encouraged fellow students to view AI as an opportunity and to embrace change with confidence. An international graduate student from the Graduate Institute of Management also shared that he had successfully secured a position with an international company prior to graduation, demonstrating the effectiveness of integrating academic learning with practical application.

The university further explained that, prior to the fair, 12 corporate information sessions were held from March 17 to 26, inviting companies such as Pacific Electric Wire & Cable, Super Micro Computer, China Trust, Far EasTone Telecommunications, EVA Air, Taiwan International Ports Corporation, and Taiwan Cooperative Bank. These sessions attracted a cumulative total of over 800 participants, effectively warming up for the career fair.

The career fair took place along the red-brick walkways between the university’s Buildings II and III. Participating companies included ASE Technology Holding, Kinsus Interconnect Technology, MSI, CTCI Corporation, Sinbon Electronics, and Unimicron Technology, among other leading enterprises. The organizers noted that corporate participation was particularly enthusiastic this year, underscoring the sustained increase in industry demand for high-quality graduates.

From an industry distribution perspective, the fair primarily focused on the electronics and semiconductor sectors, while extending to fields such as system integration, software development, precision manufacturing, and green energy technologies. The presence of numerous major technology firms and multinational companies enhanced the international profile of the event and created additional employment opportunities for students with foreign language proficiency.

Yuan Ze University emphasized that it would continue to deepen collaboration across the industrial value chain, strengthen career counseling mechanisms, assist students in smoothly transitioning into the workforce before graduation, and at the same time enhance corporate recruitment efficiency to achieve a win–win outcome for both industry and academia.
