Yuan Ze University Achieved Full Enrollment in University Admissions Distribution for the 2026 Academic Year

Yuan Ze University once again achieved outstanding results in the 2026 Academic Year University Admissions Distribution program, reaching full enrollment with zero vacancies for the second consecutive year. The achievement not only reflected the effectiveness of the University's talent cultivation strategies but also demonstrated the strong recognition and trust that students and parents had placed in its educational vision.

Ching-Jong Liao, President of Yuan Ze University, stated that the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and the changing demands of industry had transformed the expectations placed on higher education. Universities needed to equip students with the ability to adapt to an uncertain and evolving future. In recent years, Yuan Ze University had adopted “AI × Semiconductors × Interdisciplinary Learning × Bilingual Education” as the core framework of its academic development strategy. Through comprehensive transformations in teaching and research, the University had created a student-centered and flexible learning environment that enabled students to design learning pathways aligned with their interests and career aspirations while developing professional expertise, interdisciplinary competence, and international perspectives.

In AI talent cultivation, Yuan Ze University had established the Innovation Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications in 2020 with the support of the Far Eastern Group. The University had also built a high-performance computing platform and become one of NVIDIA’s partner universities in Taiwan. More recently, it collaborated with the Taiwan Artificial Intelligence Academy (AIA) to establish a regional AI certification center. To address the growing influence of generative AI, the University introduced AI Programming and Logical Thinking as a required freshman course beginning in the 2026 Academic Year. The initiative ensured that students from all disciplines developed AI literacy and acquired the ability to integrate AI tools with their professional fields while learning to collaborate effectively with AI technologies. The Innovation Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications is an official university-level center of Yuan Ze University.

In semiconductor talent development, Yuan Ze University had maintained long-term collaborations with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to offer specialized semiconductor programs integrated with internship and employment opportunities. These initiatives closely aligned academic learning with industry needs. In addition, the University launched the construction of a Semiconductor Technology Building and established a university-level Semiconductor Research Center to integrate resources in education, research, and industry-academia collaboration, further strengthening its capacity to cultivate semiconductor professionals. The Semiconductor Research Center is an official university-level research center.

Beyond its strategic investments in AI and semiconductor education, Yuan Ze University continued expanding learning opportunities through innovative academic structures. Beginning in the 2026 Academic Year, the University officially launched the University-wide Interdisciplinary Bachelor Program, which focused on four key areas: Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductors, Innovation and Regional Revitalization, and Sustainable Development. Under the guidance of academic advisors, students could design individualized learning pathways that crossed traditional departmental boundaries, integrating courses from multiple disciplines according to their interests and career goals. Upon completion of the program requirements, graduates would receive an Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s Degree with their area of specialization noted on the diploma.

In internationalization and bilingual education, Yuan Ze University had accumulated more than two decades of experience in bilingual teaching. International students currently come from more than 50 countries, while international students accounted for over ten percent of the student population. In addition, international faculty members represented approximately 14 percent of the University's full-time faculty. Through International Bachelor Programs offered by various colleges, English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) courses, overseas exchange opportunities, and international internships, students were able to develop cross-cultural competencies and global mobility skills within an increasingly international campus environment. Several colleges at Yuan Ze University currently offer International Bachelor Programs.

Yuan Ze University's educational achievements have also continued to gain international recognition. In the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026, Yuan Ze University ranked 176th in Asia, placing among the top 200 universities in the region. The ranking highlighted the University's overall strengths in teaching, research, internationalization, and industry engagement.

Ching-Jong Liao noted that achieving full enrollment through the University Admissions Distribution program for two consecutive years was more than an admissions milestone. It represented the trust and confidence that students and parents had placed in Yuan Ze University's approach to talent cultivation. Looking ahead, the University would continue centering its educational philosophy on student choice and development while deepening its strategic focus on “AI × Semiconductors × Interdisciplinary Learning × Bilingual Education.” Through flexible academic structures, strong industry partnerships, and an international learning environment, Yuan Ze University aimed to help students discover their most suitable paths during their university years and develop the essential competencies needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world and future workforce.
