Yuan Ze University Achieved Outstanding Results in the National Student Club Evaluation, Winning Two Awards of Excellence and Securing the Best Featured Activity Award for Six Consecutive Years

Good news was announced from the 2026 National Student Club Evaluation and Showcase (Academic Year 115), organized by the Ministry of Education. The event attracted 225 student clubs from 116 universities and colleges nationwide.

Yuan Ze University delivered an impressive performance, winning two Awards of Excellence and claiming the “Annual Best Featured Activity Award” for the sixth consecutive year, earning a total of NTD 70,000 in prize money and demonstrating remarkable achievements.

The National Student Club Evaluation is regarded as one of the most important indicators of student club development in Taiwan. Evaluation criteria covered organizational operation, resource management, activity planning, and distinctive performance outcomes. This year, participating clubs from Yuan Ze University stood out collectively. In addition to clubs winning awards on their first participation, the University continued to demonstrate consistent strength in the featured activity category, highlighting the diversity and solid foundation of student club management.

In the Academic and Scholarly Category of the university division, CPA Club received an Award of Excellence. The club had long integrated professional learning, career exploration, and public service, embodying the principle of “applying knowledge in practice.” Club president Cheng-Yu Que stated that the recognition affirmed the team’s efforts in balancing professional development with social engagement. The club planned to continue strengthening its programs to cultivate talents equipped with practical skills and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Meanwhile, the Department of Chinese Linguistics and Literature Student Association, participating for the first time, also won an Award of Excellence in the Autonomous and Comprehensive Category. Through activities such as Hanfu cultural experiences and literary awards, the association combined cultural promotion with external exchange, demonstrating strong self-governance and cultural heritage capacity. Association president Jia-Yu Chen expressed hope that the national stage would allow more people to appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture.

The International Bachelor Program in Social Sciences (IBSS) Student Association from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences earned the Annual Best Featured Activity Award with its project “We Are The World.” The team was composed of students from Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Mongolia, and Eswatini, showcasing the University’s internationalized campus and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Association president Kelly Pham explained that the project aimed to promote interaction between local and international students. Despite challenges arising from language and cultural differences during preparation, the experience enabled team members to learn mutual respect and collaboration.

An-Ying Wu from the Extracurricular Activities Section, who had long guided students in national evaluations, noted that student clubs served as an essential platform for developing communication skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. From activity planning to experience transfer, these processes formed a vital part of extracurricular learning. The awards not only recognized student dedication but also highlighted the University’s long-term commitment to student club counseling and development.

Yi-Chun Liu, Dean of Student Affairs at Yuan Ze University, stated that the University had always placed great emphasis on students’ holistic development, with student clubs serving as a key platform for cultivating initiative and broadening horizons. The outstanding results reflected both student excellence and the effectiveness of sustained institutional investment. The University would continue supporting the diverse development of student clubs by strengthening resources and counseling mechanisms, encouraging students to realize their potential through extracurricular learning, and to keep achieving outstanding results.
