Yuan Ze University’s Distinguished Professor Li Chi-Yuan Developed Flexible Integrated Micro-Sensors for Renewable Energy and Emerging Technologies

Professor Li Chi-Yuan, a Distinguished Professor from Yuan Ze University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, was awarded the “2024 20th IIP Outstanding Inventor Award – Academic Guoguang Medal.”

Using Micro-electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, Professor Li innovatively developed a flexible integrated micro-sensor capable of measuring voltage, current, temperature, humidity, and flow. The sensor’s advantages included its compact size, the ability to perform five types of measurements simultaneously, flexible and precise embedding at measurement sites, high accuracy and sensitivity, fast response time, and customizable designs tailored to various applications and requirements.
