Yuan Ze University’s Department of Social and Policy Sciences Combined Internships and Research to Create a Model of Academic-Practice Integration

Since its establishment in 2000, the Department of Social and Policy Sciences at Yuan Ze University pioneered the first internship program among sociology departments in Taiwan, integrating it with the writing of research theses.

The program aimed to cultivate students’ self-directed learning abilities and practical experience. This system bridged the gap between theory and practice, becoming one of the key features of the department’s education.
