Yuan Ze University’s General Education Professor Wei-Jen Chen Collaborated with Tianhe Creative to Help Students Explore the Publishing Industry

The 2025 Taipei International Book Fair will be held grandly at the World Trade Center in Taipei from February 4 to 9. This year’s theme country is Italy.

Each publishing house exhibition area also shows its talents. The "Independent Publishing Alliance" has set the theme as "Reading Fashion". The exhibition design cleverly integrates elements such as a T-shaped catwalk, press conference, and backstage dressing room, bringing readers a new immersive experience. On the first day of the opening, an independent publishing house catwalk was held on the T stage in the main activity area. Representatives of each publishing house took the stage with their published works, and the projection screen simultaneously displayed the publishing house's logo and theme slogans, creating an unprecedented visual feast.

Tianhe Chuangsi Publishing House, founded by teacher Chen Weiren from the General Education Department of Yuan Ze University, participated in the independent exhibition area to present the diverse appearance of the publishing industry. Chen Weiren said that the "Guidance and Practical Course on the Reading Industry Chain" breaks through the traditional teaching framework. It is not limited to classes in the classroom. Still, it extends the class to the "Tianhe Reading Publishing Base" of the "Tianhe Bookstore" on the Yuan Ze University campus, cultivating editorial, marketing planning and e-book teams, allowing students to participate in practical operations from the upstream to the downstream of the industry, laying a solid foundation for entering the publishing industry in the future.
