YZU Club Expo Featured Nearly 50 Student Clubs, Showcasing Youthful Energy and Attracting Freshmen

To welcome new students to campus life, Yuan Ze University held its Club Expo on September 11–12. Nearly 50 student clubs gathered at the event, presenting their features through booths and stage performances while actively recruiting new members. The lively atmosphere successfully drew large crowds of freshmen as well as international students.

The Club Expo, organized by the Office of Student Affairs, featured clubs spanning music, sports, performance, and service, highlighting the diverse spirit of YZU students. Music clubs such as the Pop Music Club, Recording Club, Guitar Club, and Piano Club not only brought their instruments to the venue for mini performances but also invited new students to try playing, creating a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. Sports clubs, including the Judo Club and Kendo Club, held live demonstrations of their precise techniques, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Stage performances were equally exciting. The Hip-Hop Dance Club opened the show with powerful music and choreography that ignited the crowd, followed by the MV Dance Club, which performed energetic K-pop dances full of youthful vigor. Meanwhile, the Board Game Club invited freshmen to join in games at their booth, filling the air with laughter, and the Mountaineering Club showcased professional gear, capturing the attention of students eager to learn more about outdoor activities. The Animal Protection Club highlighted its mission of caring for life and promoting public service, reminding participants that clubs could offer not only entertainment but also education and social responsibility.

Dean of Student Affairs Yi-Chun Liu stated that student clubs were an essential part of university life, helping students cultivate interests and passions beyond academics while also learning communication and leadership through teamwork. She emphasized, “The Club Expo allowed freshmen to witness the diversity and vibrancy of YZU’s campus. It also provided everyone with a stage to find a sense of belonging and to pursue their dreams.”
