In recent years, the Department of Chinese Linguistics and Literature, Yuan Ze University, has actively expanded international academic exchange and established collaborative partnerships with several renowned overseas institutions, including the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong, Pusan National University, Busan University of Foreign Studies, and Lac Hong University in Vietnam. These initiatives had significantly deepened cross‑national engagement in the fields of literature, history, and cultural studies.

Facing what was described as the longest winter break in history, many chose leisure and travel, while others transformed the extended break into a learning opportunity. Yuan Ze University seized this moment by launching an intensive learning initiative led by the International Language and Culture Center, in collaboration with the online learning platform Hahow for Campus and the “Guai‑Ka Project” of the Long‑Zhong Upward Education Foundation.
To promote international understanding and cultural exchange on campus, Yuan Ze University held the 2026 Muslim Iftar Gathering on March 11. The event was jointly organized by the Office of Global Affairs, Yuan Ze University, in collaboration with the Muslim Student Association and the Global Student Association, and attracted more than 120 faculty members and students.
In response to global challenges such as climate change and resource depletion, Yuan Ze University actively promoted circular economy education. On March 19, the course “Global Sustainable Development,” offered by Hsin‑Hung Chen, Director of the International Language and Culture Center, Yuan Ze University, invited Wei‑Cheng Chen, one of Taiwan’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons and founder of the social enterprise REWOOD – Wood Vinegar Expert, to campus for an exchange.
In an era marked by the rapid development of artificial intelligence and heightened social uncertainty, the competencies required of future talents have undergone a profound transformation.
To improve traffic order around the campus and better meet students’ on‑campus parking needs, Yuan Ze University initiated the construction of new motorcycle parking facilities after receiving official approval in December 2025. The project was recently completed, and an inauguration ceremony was held on February 26, 2026 (Thursday) in the morning, during which the Dongtai Street side gate was simultaneously opened to traffic.
