The AI R&D team led by Professor Chao Yao-Geng from Yuan Ze University’s Department of Electrical Engineering successfully developed a globally leading AI MCI rapid screening tool with support from Qualcomm’s program in the United States. Utilizing large language models and deep learning technology, the team created a non-invasive "picture description" speech test that required only one minute to complete. This screening could be conducted remotely via the LINE platform, allowing users to easily test for MCI at home using a smartphone or tablet. The innovation significantly enhanced the early detection rate of mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
