Yuan Ze University’s Department of Chinese Language and Literature Signed an MOA with Lac Hong University: Strengthening International Chinese Language Education and Exchange

To deepen international collaboration in Chinese language education and expand networks for faculty and student exchange, the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Yuan Ze University signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Lac Hong University in Vietnam.

The two institutions launched collaboration in areas including Chinese language teaching, student internships, faculty exchange, and curriculum development, working together to cultivate Chinese language professionals equipped with cross-cultural communication skills and global competitiveness.

Jin-Yong Huang, Associate Vice President of the Office of International Affairs at Lac Hong University, and Yun-Hui Liang, Associate Director of the Department of Chinese Language, led a delegation to visit Yuan Ze University for a week-long exchange program. During the visit, the two universities formally signed the MOA, marking a new stage of collaboration in Chinese language education and international talent cultivation. The agreement was signed by Wei-Hsuan Ho, Director of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Yuan Ze University, with faculty members Chih-Ming Huang, Fu-Mei Hsu, and Chi-Hung Li present as witnesses.

Yuan Ze University stated that the Department had long been committed to integrating theoretical and practical teaching. In addition to strengthening students’ professional competencies in Chinese language studies, it had actively developed interdisciplinary courses in areas such as Chinese language teaching, digital humanities, cultural and creative industries, and AI applications. Through overseas internships, international exchange, and cross-cultural learning opportunities, the Department aimed to enhance students’ global mobility and career competitiveness.

Wei-Hsuan Ho, Director of the Department, noted that Yuan Ze University and Lac Hong University had already established a solid foundation for collaboration. During the previous summer, the Department selected several students to conduct internships in Chinese language teaching in Vietnam. These students gained valuable experience in teaching practice, cross-cultural communication, and global perspectives, demonstrating strong professional competence and instructional ability, which was highly recognized by Lac Hong University and led to the signing of this MOA.

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Yuan Ze University emphasized that this collaboration not only marked an important milestone in international exchange between the two universities, but also demonstrated the University’s achievements in promoting the internationalization of Chinese language education. Moving forward, both institutions would continue to deepen cooperation, expand overseas internship and learning opportunities for students, and jointly establish a collaborative platform for Chinese language education that integrated teaching practice, cultural understanding, and international connectivity. This initiative aimed to cultivate a new generation of talents aligned with global trends.
