To promote local languages and deepen international students’ understanding of Taiwanese culture, the Department of Chinese Linguistics and Literature at Yuan Ze University offered a course titled “Taiwanese and Hakka for International Students,” taught by Fu-Mei Hsu.
On June 20, the College of General Studies at Yuan Ze University held a lecture rich in historical and cultural significance. The session began with Jin-Chang Chen providing an introduction to Taoyuan’s historical background from the Japanese colonial period through the postwar era, which led into the life story and creative journey of the speaker, Chien-Ping Hsieh.
The School of Nursing at Yuan Ze University was invited to participate in the “Taoyuan International City – EdTech Tour” summer interdisciplinary elective program organized by the Taoyuan City Government Department of Education.
Yuan Ze University (YZU) made a significant leap in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, rising to the 301–400 range globally. This achievement reflected the university’s ongoing efforts and concrete results in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
On July 1, the Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics at Yuan Ze University held the “International Cuisine English Camp” and the “Taste of Washoku Japanese Camp,” attracting 44 students from 20 high schools across Taoyuan, Taipei, New Taipei, Hsinchu, and Taichung.
The project was led by Professor Jin-Wei Hsu from the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Central University, with Professor Nien-Wei Chen from Group B of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Yuan Ze University serving as co-principal investigator.
